Verena Mayer

As the daughter of a gardening family, the appreciation of the beauty of nature and flowers has been a constant in Verena Mayer’s life. Her grandfather was an orchid breeder travelling around the world to seek out unknown varieties of orchids. Her love of plants, flowers, and the breadth of nature, led her to pursue a career as an independent graphic artist.

She studied at the University of Applied Sciences in Constance, Germany, under Professor Peter Andermatt, and completed her degree in illustration as a designer. She now has her own design agency in addition to being an independent artist.

Verena uses color and texture to create her own worlds. She loves to consciously experience the process of creation and to make time for the here-and-now. Her work has been exhibited in Germany and can be found in numerous private collections.
