Born in 1958 in Langkat, North Sumatra, Indonesia. Studied at Middlebare Tecnische School, The Netherlands, and graduated in Graphic Art in 1985 from Bandung Institute of Technology, Faculty of Fine Art and Design, Bandung, Indonesia. Chandra’s work has been exhibited in Indonesia, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore. In his paintings, Chandra expressed his frustrations and sadness at the inhumanity and anonymity of modern society. Chandra passed away in June 2015.
