Xiaofei Yue investigates the conflict in human nature between external appearance and internal feelings, by creating a collision between Chinese paint and rice paper.
She has been the recipient of the China National Scholarship (2011) and a first place award at China Central Academy of Fine Arts MA Graduation Exhibition (2013). She became the youngest member of the Chinese Artist Association at 25.
She has attended the International Contemporary Artist Space Residency in New London, Connecticut in 2013, the Artist Residency Summer Program at the School of Visual Arts in New York in 2015, and the London Summer Intensive Residency program at the Slade School of Fine Art and Camden Arts Centre in London in 2016. Xiaofei lives in Beijing.
