Diah Yulianti draws her inspiration from the cultural, social and spiritual richness of her native Kalimantan. Interacting with the Dayak tribal people in Kalimantan, she is fascinated by their perceptions of the spiritual world in their daily lives.

Diah Yulianti was born in 1973, in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. She studied at the Indonesia Institute of Art in Yogyakarta (Bachelor of Fine Art in painting). Her paintings have been exhibited in Indonesia, Algeria, Hong Kong, Singapore and Chicago. She works and lives in Yogyakarta.
